Gamma Epsilon Tau (GET) is a national co-ed collegiate graphic communications fraternity. Its purpose is to allow students of Advertising, Graphic Design, Printing and TV production to meet and interact in both a professional and social atmosphere.
The name Gamma Epsilon Tau is derived from the ancient Greek language. Translated, Gamma means letter, literature, or alphabet; Epsilon means science or knowledge; and Tau means art or craft. Hence, Gamma Epsilon Tau stands for "The science or knowledge of the art and craft of letters."
Gamma Epsilon Tau is comprised of undergraduate students enrolled in the Graphic Communications programs of various colleges, technical institutes, and universities. These students, by virtue of their commitment to excellence in the Graphic Communications, merit admission into the Fraternity.
A candidate must be of good moral character, sincerity of purpose, and be willing to participate in the activities of the chapter, which range from technical and creative projects relating to the graphic arts.
